BRADY QUINN BIOGRAPHY
Brady Quinn is one of three children for Robin and Ty Quinn. He was born Brady Tyler Quinn on Oct. 27, 1984, in Columbus, Ohio.
His uncle David Slates played football at Brown while another uncle Steve Slates played football at Kentucky.
Brady graduated from Coffman High School in Dublin, Ohio, and is majoring in finance and political science. He is 6'4" (193.04 meters) tall and weighs in at 231 pounds (104.77984 kilograms).
Brady enrolled in the Mendoza College of Business with a major in finance and second major in political science.
By his Junior year at Notre Dame, Brady Quinn owned every major Notre Dame passing record and was ready to set several more season and career marks. Brady Quinn was the all-time Notre Dame career passing leader in several categories: attempts (1,090), completions (611), yards (8,050), yards per game (230.0 ypg) and touchdown passes (58). His 2005 season totals are the all-time Irish bests in for attempts (405), completions (263), yards (3,633), yards per game (330.3 ypg) and touchdown passes (32).
Brady Quinn has thrown a touchdown pass in 16 consecutive games entering the Stanford contest, breaking the old Notre Dame record of 10 set by Heisman Trophy winner John Huarte in 1964. Quinn was the only quarterback in Notre Dame history to throw for 8,000 yards in a career and one of just two quarterbacks in Irish history to surpass 7,000 career passing yards.
He was completing 64.9 percent of his passes (on pace to set an . Irish record) with a touchdown-to-interception ratio of 32 to seven. Brady Quinn has completed 263 of 405 pass attempts for 3,633 yards and 32 touchdowns with seven interceptions. He has an efficiency rating of 162.9. He was the key player in a 38-31 comeback victory over Stanford, earning the Irish BCS eligibility by coolly directing a clutch 80-yard drive in the game's final 1:46. On that night, Quinn threw for 432 yards and three touchdowns while completing 25 of 38 passes with two interceptions, connecting on 16 of 19 second-half attempts. With the Irish trailing, 31-30, and just 1:46 remaining in the game, Quinn led a clutch scoring drive by the Irish. He was flawless on the march, completing all three pass attempts in the drive while ending the game with nine consecutive completions. The 432 yards via the air is tied for the fourth-most by an Irish quarterback in a single game (with his 432-yard effort vs. Purdue from 2004).
Brady Quinn completed 21 of 37 attempts for 270 yards and two touchdowns without an interception in a 34-10 win over Syracuse, the nation's sixth-best pass defense entering the game.
Brady Quinn became the all-time Notre Dame leader in passing yards against the Orange, surpassing Ron Powlus on the Irish list.
He passed for 284 yards and four touchdowns against Navy, completing 21 of 33 attempts with one interception.
Brady passed for 295 yards and three touchdowns against Tennessee, completing 20 of 33 attempts without an interception. The three touchdown passes matched the season total yielded by the Vols defense entering the game.
Quinn had a breakout performance versus BYU, throwing for a school-record six touchdowns while completing 32 of 41 attempts (78 percent) for 467 yards (2nd in Irish history) without an interception in a 49-23 victory.
Quinn completed 25 of 30 passes (83.3 percent) for 287 yards and three touchdowns in the first half versus the Cougars, completing 12 consecutive attempts at one point.
Brady Quinn showed leadership, poise and maturity against USC, leading the Irish on a clutch 87-yard touchdown drive late in the game to give Notre Dame a 31-28 lead on a five-yard run with 2:40 left in the game. He completed 19 of 35 passes for 264 yards and one touchdown with one interception against the Trojans.
Brady Quinn had the most accurate game of his Notre Dame career versus Purdue, completing 29 of 36 passes (80.5 percent) for 440 yards and three touchdowns with one interception.
